McNeilly was most recently PD at WRCH/Miami (Reach FM), Calvary Chapel sold all its South Florida radio properties in March this year. With over 20 years experience, McNeilly has also served as station manager in Chico, CA, and Madison, WI.
His tenure begins on Monday, Aug. 1, just four days after Moody Radio celebrates their 90th anniversary on Thursday, July 28. “As WMBI celebrates this historical milestone, we will be expanding our efforts to make sure that all those from Chicagoland to southern Wisconsin and northwest Indiana are aware of Moody Radio and the hope and encouragement that it brings to the air each day,” said vice president of Moody Radio, Collin Lambert. “Matt brings an excitement and enthusiasm to this effort. He is dedicated to growing Moody Radio further in the community and increasing the impact in this region in ways we have not yet seen.”
McNeilly replaces former station manager, Roy Patterson, who was appointed last year to serve as special assistant to Moody’s president, Dr. Paul Nyquist, for community relations.
“I am very excited to join the team at WMBI,” said McNeilly. “The Moody Radio staff’s heart is amazing and I can’t wait to serve with everyone in reaching our community for Christ in new and exciting ways. It is quite an honor to be joining such a legacy in not only Chicago, but Christian radio as a whole.”
In addition to managing the station, McNeilly will serve as a spokesperson for Moody Radio, cultivating relationships with listeners, pastors and community leaders in an effort to enhance the station’s visibility in Chicago.
