WKNZ/Milford (The Bridge) is engaging its listeners with an innovative and interactive promotions and contest tool. Serving listeners in 4 states on multiple frequencies, The Bridge has designed key tags that mimic each state’s license plate, and the stations FM frequency. The image is the same as The Bridge’s current billboard campaign. On the reverse side is a QR code that will take users to a special, and ever-changing, landing page on The Bridge website.
Beginning in May, the station will announce special events, contests, videos, and other surprises accessible only via the QR code on the key tag.
The Bridge PD, Denise Harper, said the station wanted to put The Bridge name and frequency in the hands of listeners as they’re getting into their vehicles, to help keep the radio station top of mind in the place where most listening takes place.
Listeners are requesting the state and frequency that fits them, and the response has been overwhelming with The Bridge running out of its first batch of key tags within days.
