KNWC/Sioux Falls (Life 96.5) listeners showed up at in an exciting way this fall to help the homeless in their community. After a six week donation drive to bring Hoodies and Hope to those who come to the local Union Gospel Mission for a hot meal and a gospel message, the radio family came together to provide 800 brand NEW hooded sweatshirts during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.
Union Gospel Mission co-director Linda Gonzales says people who are homeless really appreciate hoodies because they are so easy to wear and not as cumbersome as a coat. She expresses deep gratitude for Life 96.5 listeners who not only took the time to shop for the hoodies, but also made the effort to drop them off or ship them.
