As first reported on HisAir.Net last week KLTY/Dallas air personality Bonnie Curry (left) has now taken her show to afternoon drive while Tony Lopez (below left) has moved his show to middays. Tony will air 10am-3pm and Bonnie will inspire the DFW area from 3p-7p.
“I can’t wait to share 94.9 KLTY’s “Speak Love” movement with more people and do more for our community! Plus, I get to share my life on the air and then go right to dinner.” Bonnie said.
Bonnie is the founder of the “Speak Love” movement which promotes being deliberate with your kindness. “There’s nothing random about it!” said Bonnie.
KLTY’s Program Director Mike Prendergast says “Moving Bonnie to afternoons was an easy decision, it’s like driving home with your best friend and Tony’s professionalism is a great fit for the workday. He’s so good about keeping in touch with what’s going on around Dallas-Fort Worth and relating it to the listener in a relatable and entertaining way, all the while playing the most encouraging, inspiring and uplifting music on the planet!”
About the move, Tony says “I’d like to say how humbled I am to continue with 94.9 KLTY after 16 years in afternoons and to see my growing family more often in the early evenings now is incredible. I’m going to enjoy middays, encouraging the greatest listening family in the world during the workday!”
Tony’s popular “Miracle Monday” segment will continue in the workday with amazing stories of miracles shared by listeners, most too unbelievable to explain away as coincidence!
Bonnie is also a National voice talent heard across America on commercial campaigns and on the Abide app. She’s been with 94.9 KLTY for more than 20+ years and is happily married to her high-school sweetheart. She’s a proud mom of two wonderful girls and spends as much time as she can traveling and doing her best to keep her plants alive.
Tony is now in his 17th year with 94.9 KLTY and brings a fun and family friendly approach to playing music, giving away great prizes and keeping you informed and entertained on a daily basis. Tony loves being a part of your work day and strives to make it as smooth as possible with inspiring music and a steady dose of encouragement. Outside the studio walls, Tony loves spending time with his devoted wife, Jennifer, and six amazing kids. His other passion is golf and he is still looking for that elusive first hole in one.
