The Bridge Christian Radio has a full time Operations/Programming opportunity available for an experienced individual who has a heart for Christ and a passion for great sounding radio. • Research new and innovative events to promote all of the stations in our cluster.
• Assists and maintains the promotional and vehicle calendar through Microsoft Outlook.
• Assists with the organization and tracking of the promotions inventory including prize items and printed materials.
• Ensures that station vehicle(s) are gassed and cleaned before/after events and fully stocked with marketing/promotional items.
• Special projects as assigned.

PURPOSE: Create content daily for both on-air 7pm-12am and online that complements and enhances the ministry of KTIS. (Actual work day at the station 3pm-11pm.)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Write and prepare daily show material for use on air (7pm-12am) and online. Host one weekend tracked airshift weekly. Update social media sites and online blog daily. Assist Programming department with various projects, including writing liner cards and reviewing logs. Assist Programming department by recording content (weather/voice tracks) for weekend use. Assist Promotions department with live appearances at station events as needed. Assist Production department by producing sweepers, promotional announcements and Impact Partner announcements as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Previous radio experience a minimum of five years required. Excellent communication, on-air personality, and people skills with ability to effectively communicate spiritual truths, host events, speak in public, and represent the station in a variety of settings. Ability to plan and execute an entertaining drive time incorporating production elements and promos. WVRS in Winchester, VA is relaunching this summer as The Cross FM! We will be a CHR-formatted station with a little extra edge, including some rock and hip-hop in the evening hours.
