KSBJ Stewardship Specialist

Description **This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week, Monday to Thursday**

Job Summary:
The Stewardship Specialist is responsible for engaging with donors to drive support of KSBJs mission to achieve annual giving goals. Actively works to create meaningful interactions, cultivation, gift solicitation and essential stewardship of KSBJ current and lapsed donors. Is attentive to donors spiritual needs and prays with donors as needed.

Essential Functions
Donor Engagement Communications
Make outbound calls to engage with new, current and lapsed donors for the purposes of donor ministry and increased revenue
Communicate with donors the uses, benefits and impact of charitable giving
Create, maintain and update CRM with complete donor demographic information.
Record all donor communication and interactions in detail in CRM; ensure timely follow-up with donors
Mail or email donors literature, campaign information and handwritten notes
Respond to and resolve donor requests and inquiries promptly
Refer donors whove given $1000+ and donors with $1000+ gift level ability to Mid-Level Development officer for consideration

Relationship Building
Work with Donor Engagement Mid-Level Officer to strategically plan and execute activities to steward and solicit donors, including meetings, events and other activities
Prospect for potential new donors and work to increase giving levels of existing and lapsed donors
Engage with donors in a variety of ways to identify specific donor interests and deepen their connection with KSBJ or NGEN
Be willing to pray with callers on the phone

Performs highly active role in Sharathon/PowerDrive
Support and serve the Donor Engagement team and/or other departments in responding to donor requests and needs
Create, update and maintain campaign spreadsheets in Excel
Additional duties as assigned

Demonstrated Faith
Pray for coworkers in team meetings
Participate in Sharathon, PowerDrive and Thankathon, and pray for donors over the phone as needed
Participate in ministry wide Christian bible studies
Attend weekly Staff Gatherings for prayer and devotions
Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. Maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside the organization


Requirements and Qualifications:

Associates Degree or equivalent work history

2-4 years of relevant work experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent listener, able to quickly pick up on verbal/tonal cues
Excellent written and oral language and communications skills
Able and willing to sit and make outbound phone calls over several hours
Ministry minded self-starter who learns quickly
Driven to succeed and consistently develop/improve skill set
Ability to discern and elicit the interests and concerns of others and help meet these needs
Strong relationship building skills
Ability to openly pray for others
Experience with fundraising a plus
Must demonstrate proficiency with software programs, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, CRM systems and use of the Internet
High level of personal/professional organization and time management
Able to work with minimal supervision, both independently and within a team
Must demonstrate initiative

Working Conditions and Environment

Local travel as needed

Occasional as event planner/participant.
Occasional for conferences or retreats.
