KSBJ Promotions Outreach Manager

Job Summary: 

The Promotions Outreach Manager is responsible for engaging the KSBJ communities through planned events, promotions, and activities that interact with, encourage, and build the KSBJ audience.  Must have dynamic, friendly personality and enjoy connecting with a variety of people in large public settings


Essential Functions: 

Promotions Planning

§  Build and cultivate community partnerships that are aligned with KSBJ’s mission and vision

§  Seek out new event and prize opportunities through new and existing relationships

§  Coordinate with team to design and implement activations, tailored to each event, that draw the public to interact with KSBJ

§  Manage the behind the scenes tasks to prepare for a KOTS (KBSJ on the Street) event, collaborate with other departments to secure volunteer, web, vehicles, etc.

§  Serve as the liaison for on-site industry guests such as artists and vendors as assigned by the Director, Marketing and Promotions

§  Create and voice all on air promotional support for KOTS events

§  Maintain station/ministry Promotions calendar

§  Maintain event reporting system for all executed KOTS events

§  Maintain cleanliness and organization of Promotions closet and station vehicles

Promotions Execution

§  Manage the KSBJ volunteers while onsite at KOTS events

§  In coordination with the team, provide oversight for execution of all events from set up to tear down

§  Facilitate off-site activities and maintain the integrity of KSBJ’s presence at all community events, station activities and Special Events concerts

§  Coordinate with Program Director for execution of Live Remote setups

§  Responsible for initiating and maintaining all aspects of the Threads for Life program

§  On occasion, pray with event attendees who are seeking prayer





Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred



1 to 2 year promotions experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

§  Creative and enthusiastic, team player

§  Strong administrative and organizational skills

§  Effective writing skills and excellent grammatical usage and style

§  Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Google tool applications

§  Radio industry experience preferred

§  Must be able to drive large passenger van

§  Available to work flexible hours and weekends

§  Detail oriented with strong ability to maintain brand standards

§  Exceptional planning and multi-tasking skills

§  Excellent interpersonal skills

§  Proven ability to work successfully across multiple departments

§  Strong negotiation skills

§  Community and industry contacts, a plus

§  Ability to manage multiple deadlines

Working Conditions and Environment



Frequent Houston Metro Area



Must be available for flexible hours, weekends, and occasional holidays
