Burns Lands In Louisiana

KBMQ/Monroe (88.7 The Cross) & KBYO/Monroe (Power 927.FM) welcome Don Burns as the new Program Director & Morning Show Host for Media Ministries, Inc.

Burns replaces Jeremiah Beck who exited the station in June this year after 10 years as PD/mornings.

KBMQ/KBYO GM Sheryl Ford told HisAir today, “Don’s 36 years in the industry, his passion for serving the listeners, and his warmth with the staff made the decision an easy one. We’re excited to have him join our team and I’m genuinely looking forward to where we’ll go with his leadership. I’m committed to staffing a station with the people God wants to use in Northeast Louisiana. It was clear early on that Don fit into that vision. I’m convinced he’ll add to an already positive culture and be welcomed by our listeners. I’m also especially grateful to Chuck Finney for his assistance during a long search, and Jeff Connell for stepping in and investing into our staff and station.”

Most recently Burns co-hosted the morning show at KCBI/Dallas teaming with Rebecca Carroll. Previously his extensive history in Christian Radio included stops at Shine.FM/Chicago as Network PD, KZTH/Ponca City (The House FM), and WPER/Fredericksburg (Positive Hits).
